It's over; it's finally over.

Two people familiar with the negotiations say that former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz has a new home, going from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Orlando Magic.

Now granted, the move doesn't really bring a whole lot of star power back to the City of Brotherly Love, but really could we have asked for a better haul for a player who hasn't suited up since mid-November? He had from the same injury and was forced to sit for much of his rookie season past year, appearing in just 14 games.

The 20-year old point guard missed most of his rookie season with a shoulder injury and his struggles shooting the ball have been well documented over the course of his young National Basketball Association career.

The 76ers also get a second-round pick this year.

Simmons' deal is much more tenable.

Fultz's representatives informed the Sixers last month that the guard would be shut down until he had been examined by specialists. First, they added Jimmy Butler from the Minnesota Timberwolves, and just a few days ago they picked up Tobias Harris from the Clippers.

"Teams like Atlanta, Orlando, they've talked to Philadelphia on Markelle Fultz", said Adrian Wojnarowski.

Fultz was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 draft, but his young career has been sidetracked by injuries and ineffectiveness. Despite being a 41.3-percent 3-point shooter in college, Fultz has connected on just 4-of-15 long-range attempts since entering the league.
