Anthony Martial can reach the level of Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

French World Cup victor Pogba wanted to leave the Red Devils during Mourinho's reign but has played a central role in United's turnaround in the last two months.

In his PSG pre-match press conference, he added: "No, but I would have said yes to the job if we didn't play PSG or in Champions League when United ring you take the chance and you think you can help them".

Asked if Solskjaer had shouted at the players, Young told L'Equipe: "That shows you're not in our dressing room, because I can tell you that we've had some hairdryer treatments recently".

"He does have similarities, of course", said Solskjaer, who replaced the sacked Mourinho in December.

"Everyone is going to take us seriously now, we've proven that (with Solskjaer), and we're still getting better", Jones said.

Even before reaching the season's halfway mark, the Mancunians were a whopping 19 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool and a trip to Old Trafford was scaring no one. "We always hope, but the first exam was not good".

Meanwhile, Victor Lindelof has trained ahead of United's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

Martial has put the improvements down to Solskjaer's more attacking style.

"To play in this moment at Old Trafford against Manchester United is again like in our group stage one of the toughest challenges that you can have".

Manchester United want to sign Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon in the summer. Obviously we're missing a couple of key players, but I don't know if it's the right time to change our ID.

Their injuries come on top of the sprained ankle suffered by Verratti three weeks ago, though manager Thomas Tuchel is confident the Italian will be fit to play the full 90 minutes.

If Solskjaer's United remain unbeaten by 3pm on March 16, not only should it absolutely guarantee him the permanent position but I say he should be given it for life.

If the Sweden worldwide is passed fit he is likely to start against the French champions at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
