Obama is promoting her new book, Becoming, which sold two million copies in the U.S. and Canada in just 15 days.

The atmosphere was more like a rock concert than a literary event, as crowds gathered at the Southbank centre for the London date of former First Lady Michelle Obama " s book tour.

"Marriage still ain't equal, y'all", Obama reportedly said at a public event to promote her new memoir, Becoming, in Brooklyn on Saturday.

And Michelle didn't disappoint.

The ethnically diverse school, which Obama visited in 2009 on her first official trip to Britain, has around 60 languages spoken among its 900 female pupils.

"I share that with you because we all have doubts in our abilities, about our power and what that power is", she said.

To combat that, the Duchess of Sussex should not be afraid to play a longer game. She said some even slammed her for the way she talked.

She also spoke of her marriage and how the former president treats her with love and respect, and had a few tips for the men who came to see her. So he was very focused and very self-aware. I thought I wanted to be a lawyer because I didn't really know what I wanted to do after college so I applied to law school, went to harvard, thought "well that should be good" and turns out I hated law. You've got to have a lot of compromise and a lot of work.

She continued, "And so the Queen says "just get in, sit wherever" and she's telling you one thing and you're remembering protocol and she says 'Oh it's all rubbish, just get in'". "But whoa, people, slow down - marriage is hard!".

Michelle Obama is the cover star for the January 2019 issue of Good Housekeeping magazine. "I have never been a fan of politics and my experience over the past 10 years has done nothing to change that". I had to finally admit that to myself, which was a hard thing to do after investing the amount of time and resources.

Michelle Obama said the Queen wasn't too obsessed with royal protocol.

And of course, she told of the moment that she breached protocol and touched Her Majesty. And you feel a bit resentful about it.

"Here's the secret. I've been at every powerful table that you can think of".

While she was mentoring Barack, they started dating and oh yes when asked if she was in support of work place romance, she said "Yes, I do, because it worked out fine for me!"

What do you think of this? "I am not saying that there are no talented people out there".

"And all the fears and all the challenges that you face - you guys give me a sense of comfort because being the first lady wasn't the easiest job in the world but I got strength from your hope in what I could do for you".
