The units include Meridian's Bass & Space technology created to improve the soundstage, offer strong bass, and envelop listeners in an immersive experience.

All three soundbars were developed in conjunction with Meridian Sound, an English manufacturer known for its high-fidelity audio and video components. Again, from LG's announcement: "The 2019 LG soundbars have a sleek, understated design that perfectly matches the chic style of LG's exceptional OLED TVs, creating a seamless aesthetic when placed beneath one of the company's next-generation TVs".

The soundbars (models SL10, SL9 and SL8) support both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Companies are already beginning to tease the wares they will be unveiling and LG has stepped to tease the soundbars that will be on display at the show. With these two acclaimed technologies, users can enjoy breathtakingly realistic surround sound that seems to come from multiple directions and depths.

LG's new speakers are also all equipped with Google Assistant, which makes it possible to control each with voice commands.

The Smart functionality supplied by Google Assistant will allow users to control the volume, identify music playing and allow for smart home control including controlling the LG ThinQ line of smart, connected devices - though LG has made no mention of ThinQ in their press release.

Pricing and availability of LG's new soundbars are still to be confirmed, but we hope to be able to bring you more information when CES officially kicks off on 8th January. With its distinctive form, LG's game-changing SL9 picked up a Best of Innovation honor at the 2019 CES Innovation Awards. Besides, the company also asserted that an integrated gyroscope sensor gauges the position of the soundbar (fixed to a wall or on a flat surface) and adjusts sound directionality to deliver the optimal listening experience.

If you want the full surround sound experience you can also team the new soundbars up with LG's optional wireless Rear Speaker Kit (SPK8).
