Manchester United's Jose Mourinho - Pressure on Marcus Rashford 'too high'

Manchester United left it late as Marcus Rashford struck in stoppage time to ensure they collected all three points away against an in-form Bournemouth.

Rashford's close-range finish came after Anthony Martial's effort had cancelled out Callum Wilson's early opener for Bournemouth at Dean Court. In the second half, I could understand some of the frustration because we produced some incredible chances and we didn't score.

All this was done without the services of Romelu...

There were doubts about Marcus Rashford's form before the game but the Englishmen performed brilliantly after coming on for his team in the 56th minute and scored only his second goal of the season to complete his team's remarkable comeback in the final minutes of the game. When I say defensively I just don't look to the defenders. To put into context as to exactly how good he has been for the Cherries, only Eden Hazard of Chelsea has been involved in more goals and assists than the Englishman (6 goals, 4 assists).

The Red Devils manager was accused of making "abusive and/or insulting and/or improper" remarks to a television camera after his side's dramatic 3-2 Premier League victory at Old Trafford.

"It looked like we don't work tactically during the week, which obviously is the worst feeling for me as we work so much that I expect my team to be really good". People watching this game will not believe how hard we worked this week.

"You know the reason why I ask the club and lawyers to appeal was because I was 100 percent sure that I was not guilty of these charges but you never know how it ends", he said.

"In the first half Bournemouth was the best team by far and in the second half United were the best team by far". We created lots of chances and in the end we have the goal that give us important points.

David Brooks, the £11.5m summer signing from Sheffield United, starts up front alongside Callum Wilson in the absence of Josh King who has been ruled out with a foot injury.

In this day and age of clubs changing managers every now and then, Bournemouth have stuck by Eddie Howe ever since their Championship days.

Manchester United go to Bournemouth for Saturday's early Premier League kick off in the unthinkable position of being below the south coast minnows in the table.
