Red Dead Redemption 2 Official Companion App Revealed

The Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app is now on track for October 26, 2018, alongside the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release. Red Dead Redemption 2 promises to be the biggest game from the developer yet, which is saying something. The idea is that you can set waypoints or check the map manually, using it as a separate tool from the main game.

The app will also show you Arthur Morgan's core info and stats in real-time on your device, allowing you to completely remove the in-game HUD from your television should you choose.

In massive open world games, getting lost and having to open up the map is a pretty common occurrence. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an enormous game, and is more richly detailed than any game I can remember ever seeing. Other aspects of the game will be available through the mobile app like the journal and the full digital manual.

Rockstar has revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be receiving an official companion app that will be launching alongside the game on iOS and Android on October 26, 2018. Well Red Dead Redemption 2 might be about the closest you'll get to that outside of going camping in the American Midwest, forgetting your phone and bumbling your way into an Amish community.

To get the unique hunting outfits in Red Dead Redemption 2, you need to sell legendary animal pelts to the trapper.
