No victor for Wednesday's Powerball drawing, jackpot increases to $750 million

What would you do if you won $1.6bn?

This is the third-largest jackpot in Powerball game history and the fourth-largest in U.S. Lottery history.

Drawings are conducted every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

The largest Powerball jackpot was a $1.586 billion prize split among three winners in California, Florida, and Tennessee after the drawing on January 13, 2016.

A single winning ticket was sold in SC for an unbelievable jackpot of $1.537 billion, which will translate into $878 million cash for the lucky victor. Saturday's jackpot of $3.245 million is second only to the record $3.62 million jackpot won in July 2017.

But the South Carolina Education Lottery has a message for the person or group with the lucky ticket.

Sending a message to the victor Thursday, lotto officials said, "One of the first decisions the victor must make is a choice between the cash option of approximately $878 million or the annuity, the full jackpot amount paid out in yearly payments over 29 years".

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. One went to Jennifer Santo, a nurse from Dartmouth, and the other has yet to be claimed. The ticket, sold in northeast Kansas, has not yet been claimed. The jackpot returns to $40 million for Friday's drawing.

Did you buy a Powerball ticket at the Giant Food Store in Quakertown?

The results of the drawings will be available on masslottery.com, as well as on the Lottery's Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages, officials said.
