"Jorginho in this moment is a very important player for us and he is used to playing my football".

Defender Azpilicueta - who has returned to right-back under Sarri having played the last two seasons as a right-sided centre-back in a back-three - has worn the armband so far this season.

Following Chelsea's 2-0 victory over Bournemouth at Stamford Bride, Maurizio Sarri was in a laudatory mood regarding the performance of his left-back Marcos Alonso.

Sarri had warned before the opening game of the league campaign that his side would face a hard start as he attempted to implement a very different approach to that employed by Conte.

Hazard has been in good form for Maurizio Sarri's side so far this season despite him being one of the latest players to return to Chelsea FC following his involvement in the World Cup with Belgium.

Sarri told Sky Sports, "They (Bournemouth) defended very aggressively and made the situation not so easy. I think he can be a Premier League starter at Chelsea".

'Physical qualities at a top level, I think.

"The first half, the situation was hard". But in this kind of match, usually you can win in the last 20-25 minutes.

For all their dominance of the ball - they averaged over 70 per cent of the possession - Chelsea often looked to be running out of ideas against a Bournemouth side not renowned for defending.

"I think they'll improve as the season goes on", said the Bournemouth manager. Maybe we needed to move the ball at another speed, and maybe more movements without the ball.

But everything appears to be going right for Sarri at the moment and his decision to introduce Pedro in the 65th minute was rewarded when the Spaniard struck the opening goal just seven minutes later.

"The gap at the beginning was 30 points".

Sarri is likely to have to tinker with his plans as the season progresses, with the Italian having already taken to shuffling his attacking pack - with Alvaro Morata once again taken off against Bournemouth to be replaced by Olivier Giroud.
