The Moto Z3 is the first device that can be upgraded to 5G, with the new 5G Moto Mod.

The 5G Moto MOD also comes with a 2000 mAh Li-ion battery and is compatible with the previous Moto Z series smartphones.

The new Moto Z3 smartphone will be an exclusive to Verizon in the United States, with the smartphone itself rocking a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with dual 12-megapixel rear-facing cameras. However, it's the battery that steals the spotlight here.

Moto Z3 will be available from August 16, while 5G Moto Mod will arrive in the USA exclusively in early 2019. As per company's claims, the smartphone could draw half a day's power with just half an hour of charging. This also allows users to authenticate apps and make payments in an instant with the unique fingerprint function. The Moto Z3 will go on sale exclusively through Verizon in Ceramic Black, starting August 16th, NDTV gadgets reports.

The Moto Z3 runs on nearly stock Android.

"5G will change the ways we live, work, learn and play", Nicola Palmer, Verizon's chief network engineer and head of wireless networks, said in a press release. The Moto Z3 launched in Chicago this week, however, the company announced on Twitter that there won't be any Moto Z's releasing this year, The Verge reported. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, combined with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of integrated memory expandable via microSD card (up to 2 TB).

For photography, the Moto Z3 features 12 MP dual cameras at the back and an 8 MP single camera on the front. The front camera sensor also enables a Face Unlock function, which is the unlocking of the phone via face recognition. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo).

If you concern yourself with cellular connectivity at all, then you're probably aware that 5G, the successor to 4G LTE, is right around the corner. Moto Z3 can be bought for $20 per month for 24 months and Motorola is offering up to $300 off on the phone under its device payment plan. It doesn't have a home button at the bottom and similar to Moto Z3 Play it has one-button navigation and supports Moto Display, Moto Actions.
