Chelsea, Arsenal face tricky opponents in their respective Europa League groups

Russian fans took to the streets today and put on quite a display with smoke bombs and flares ahead of the FC Ufa's Europa League clash with Rangers.

This year's Europa League group stage draw will take place on August 31 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, one day after the draw for the Champions League.

Arsenal and Chelsea will be extremely confident of booking their places in the knockout stages while it could have been a lot worse for Rangers but Celtic have been given a tough task.

Coverage of the Premier League side's tie with the Greek outfit starts from 7.15pm on BT Sport 2 HD and 4K UHD, with a live stream available as ever on the BT Sport app and BTSport.com.

Forty-eight clubs have been split equally into four pots, and the draw will see 12 groups formed containing one team from each pot, with teams from the same association being kept apart.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported Diego Costa scored the only goal that powered Atletico Madrid into the final of this year's Europa League.

Arsenal and Chelsea are joined in pot one by Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and Villarreal of Spain.

The Gunners under Unai Emery will be facing two of last season's Champions League participant Sporting Lisbon, Qarabag and Ukrainian side Vorskla.

With several Champions League and Europa League play-off second leg ties to be played, the remaining teams can change pot depending who progresses.
