Hazard has been heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, although Sarri has previously stated that he would like to speak face-to-face with the 27-year-old playmaker before deciding on his future.

Chelsea will reportedly move for Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford if Thibaut Courtois leaves the club in this summer's transfer window.

Keeping Hazard regains a bit of confidence in an uncertain time for the club.

Los Blancos have been eyeing Chelsea 'keeper Courtois for some time now and it seems as though they have firmed up their interest in the player with a formal offer.

Hazard also alluded towards a "preferred destination", which is widely believed to be Real Madrid.

Madrid consequently chose to base their team around Isco next season, with Cristiano Ronaldo gone after he signed for Juventus.

Though parting with Willian may not be Maurizio Sarri's intention, if it means that we keep hold of Hazard, it may well be worth it.

Since then, he's helped bring two titles to Chelsea, making over 200 appearances in the top tier, and has become idolised by fans for the electricity he brings onto the pitch.

As for Courtois, the Belgian looks set to depart Stamford Bridge as he enters the final year of his contract.

Chelsea are happy to sanction Courtois' move as long as they can secure a replacement of their own, with Jack Butland looking increasingly likely to fill his gloves at Stamford Bridge.

Isco and Asensio seemingly now have the onus on them to vindicate Lopetegui's decision and be the flag bearers for Real Madrid in the upcoming campaign.
