Pogba and France will advance to the World Cup Final, where they'll take on the victor of Croatia and England - for a chance to bring home the nation's second World Cup championship.

Croatian professional footballer who plays for Internazionale and the Croatia national team, Ivan Perišić, has vowed that the team would not have a repeat of what happened in 1998 when France stopped them in the semi-finals.

England was last at this stage in 1990, when they lost to West Germany on penalties in that famous game when midfielder Paul Gascoigne was left in tears after being booked.

The 43-year-old officiated the tournament's opening game between Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia and was in charge for France's quarter-final victory over Uruguay, as well as Croatia's last-16 clash with Denmark.

Earlier, Japan's World Cup squad, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Croatia's football federation were among those to send messages of support during the boys' ordeal.
