Michy Batshuayi's painful goal celebration in win over England

Adnan Januzaj's stunning goal was overshadowed by the events that followed as the Red Devils finished as Group G winners over England with a 1-0 win.

Michy Batshuayi produced one of the best moments of the World Cup last night with his celebration for Adnan Januzaj's sublime victor against England.

In the video, Januzaj curls a wonderful left-foot shot into the top corner to put his team ahead.

In fact, the footballer himself joked about the incident via his Twitter account after the game claiming that "the Fortnite style celebration is overrated" and he wanted to "create something new".

"Ahahha I knew I would be f***** the minute I come to my mentions. why am I so stupid bro. s*** hurts [sic]", he wrote.

Following the social media storm, an unfortunately fitting new nickname emerged for the 24-year-old: Michy Bashyoureye.

Naturally with football in the modern day, fans, ex-professionals and journalists watching on screen were quick to mock Batshuayi.

His team-mate Alex Witsel joined in with the banter for his team-mate as he posted the above tweet.
