Exhaust-ing ordeal: Woman gets head stuck in tailpipe

Nineteen-year-old Kaitlyn Strom was at the Winstock Music Festival when she thought it would be a good idea to put her head in a truck's oversized exhaust pipe.

Kaitlyn soon discovered her head did indeed fit - then realised she was unable to take it back out again. Later, Pipe Girl posted, "Yes, I'm the tail pipe girl, whatchu know about it?" She's a girl, she's drunk, and she was just freed from her own prison of a truck's exhaust pipe.

Video posted to Facebook shows the woman sitting on the ground as emergency services attempt to free her.

Though she escaped the incident unscathed, she was reprimanded by the McLeod County Sheriff's Office for underage drinking, according to The Associated Press.

Firefighters used a power saw to free the woman from her predicament at last weekend's Winstock Music Festival in Winsted, about 40 miles west of Minneapolis.

The teen said she was stuck for about 45 minutes and had a brief medical check up immediately after.

"[I was] kind of confused because I didn't know what was going on, because I couldn't see around me", she said.

"A lot of people don't realize how serious it was", Strom told the Leader.

She said she's not surprised the incident went viral, but wants people to know it wasn't as amusing as it looked. He's already fully fixed his exhaust pipe, and he said that she didn't even have to pay for it.

"I would just say thank you to everyone who has supported me and been there throughout this", she told the Leader.
