All the royals travel in different carriages and make their way up to the balcony where they greet the audience.

The Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge arrived together after the queen while the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of York rode in on horseback closely behind.

Otherwise, the young royal appeared to enjoy the event, which she attended alongside her four-year-old brother, Prince George.

Ditching her signature messy bun, the newlywed left her hair down in loose waves and a dusty pink Carolina Herrera bespoke dress and Philip Treacy hat.

Trooping the Colour dates back to the 17 century, and is performed by regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies.

There is a new addition to the annual Buckingham Palace balcony photo.

First the ceremonial. Meghan sat beside Harry in a horse-drawn carriage procession from Buckingham Palace to the Horse Guards parade ground where thousands of troops waited to parade a regimental flag (a Colour) in front of the Queen. And, most importantly, the Duchess of Sussex joined the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the fly-past by the RAF's Red Arrows, which is always the highlight of the day.

The Queen's actual birthday was on April 21 when she turned 92.

The Queen ditched the sunglasses she had been wearing since a recent cataract operation, the Daily Mail reported.

The ceremony is one of the most high-profile royal events of the year and finished with the singing of the British national anthem and a 41-gun salute in nearby Green Park.

She was without her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, who turns 97 on Sunday.

All of the Royal Family was in attendance.

Before the ceremony, Lall said he was "quite proud" of himself and knew other people were proud of him as well. Since her 2011 Trooping the Colour debut, Kate Middleton has never worn short sleeves, and neither did Princess Diana. Eugenie, 28, meanwhile, looked lovely in emerald green, also opting for statement headwear - with a pretty floral embroidered hat to complete her look.
