Wayne Rooney Agrees Deal To Join DC United

It has been suggested a £12.5 million (S$22 million) deal has been agreed that could see the 32-year-old leave his boyhood club just 12 months after rejoining them from Manchester United.

Rooney began the season properly, scoring seven Premier League targets earlier than Allarydce took over, however his affect has lowered since.

The Washington Post reported that that Rooney "is in serious talks" about a summer move to D.C. United, adding that he "has grown frustrated" at Goodison Park.

"There have been rumours about Wayne going overseas, China or America".

Wayne Rooney reportedly has the chance to leave Everton for Major League Soccer during the summer.

The former England captain still has a year left on his contract at Everton where he's scored 11 goals in 40 appearances this season.

And according to the Mirror's David McDonnell, Rooney's agent Paul Stretford has been in talks with MLS side DC United - which are said to have gone very well - ahead of a possible summer move.

Mattocks told STAR Sports that the likely arrival of Rooney, who now plays for Everton in the English Premier League, will be a major boost for the club and its players.

"If Wayne's time is up at Everton, there's no reason why Rangers shouldn't put their name forward", Gray told talkSPORT host Jim White on Tuesday.

A promising start to life back on Merseyside saw Rooney score 10 goals in 16 Premier League games - not a bad return for someone who was supposedly past it.

He has one year remaining on his Everton contract. "I wouldn't consider anything on the cards at the moment". But the idea of their marquee player leaving is not said to be unanimous in the boardroom with Everton chairman Bill Kenwright keen to keep the former England worldwide at the club.

But heading to the USA and to a team that really wants to feature him could work well for him.
