Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is to end after Season 4

Although, reportedly the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt TV show will end after its upcoming fourth season on Netflix, that doesn't mean the streaming platform isn't actively promoting its first original half-hour comedy series.

Netflix is streaming Season 4 in two parts, with Part 1's six episodes streaming May 30, and the remaining seven episodes streaming later.

According to Deadline, the series will end its run on Netflix with the fourth season, which is split into two parts.

The series was co-created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. The show follows Kimmy Schmidt as she moves to NY after she is rescued from a doomsday cult, where she was being held captive underground by a mad preacher played by Jon Hamm. There's no date yet announced for the release of the other half. However, there is a chance that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt won't end with just season 4.

Netflix is almost done "making the world a Kimmier place", and fans of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are not ready for the series to end. Upon being released from her personal prison, Kimmy hilariously tackles the world with a wide-eyed enthusiasm. So perhaps her story really is reaching a conclusion.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season four stars Ellie Kemper (The Office) in the title role. Plus, check out pics of the new season!

Creator Tina Fey also appeared several times in the show, once as a prosecutor and later as a therapist to Kimmy.

Fans are definitely going to miss Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) and the gang, especially Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess), bus also Jacqueline White (Jane Krakowski), Lillian Kaushtupper (Carol Kane), and the supporting cast. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a production of Universal Television, Little Stranger Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment and Bevel Gears for Netflix.
