Pro Wrestler Kane Appears To Have Won GOP Mayoral Primary In Tennessee

The 51-year-old former WWE Raw professional wrestler, who went by the name "Kane", declared victory in a tweet, saying, "Thanks to everyone who helped win this historic victory!"

Best known as WWE superstar Kane, Jacobs can not officially be declared the victor until next week, because the Knox County Election Commission said there are 43 provisional ballots that still need to be counted. Too bad Oklahomans can't vote for Mayor of Knox County Tennessee.

The heart of the matter.

. "He's a sharp guy so I hope he does well there". Kane won the initial tally by 17 votes, though the count is not yet official, as there are still provisional ballots to be counted over the next several days.

Throughout the campaign, Jacobs was joined by several faces from the world of WWE including the legendary Undertaker with others lending support via social media. He has been vocal about his libertarian views throughout his wrestling career and on his campaign website says he aims to keep taxes low and put forth "a fresh outlook on limited government". The general election will be held on November 6 and the new mayor will be decided on that vote. That election will take place on August 2nd.

Linda McMahon, the former CEO of WWE, serves as Administrator of the Small Business Administration in the Donald Trump government. You can tell that politics is something that Jacobs is very passionate about, and it's good to see that he's one step closer to becoming the mayor.
