Nintendo UK now has dedicated Pokémon Switch email alerts

Surprise! Nintendo just revealed the next major Pokemon game on Nintendo Switch. They will be available from November 16, 2018 - so not too long to wait. Stay tuned for more about Pokemon Let's GO Pikachu, Let's Go Eevee, and Pokemon Quest as more is announced.

The games seem to be spiritual remakes of the classic Pokemon Yellow - where the protagonist is given Pikachu as their starter Pokemon and their rival an Eevee - and also incorporate aspects of the wildly popular mobile game, Pokemon Go.

Three new Pokemon titles will be introduced for Nintendo's Switch console later this year. One game that's been getting a lot of attention in the lead up to E3 is the upcoming mainline Pokemon title for Nintendo Switch. "We have obtained shocking information concerning Pocket Monsters!".

A new page has gone up where you can provide your email to specifically get news and info on Pokémon for Switch.

The Lets Go games are both set in the original Kanto region, feature motion controls using the Switch Joy-Cons and utilises local co-op. The firm behind the franchise, Pokemon Co., is partly owned by Nintendo, game developer Game Freak Inc. and another company called Creatures Inc., which all own the rights to the brand. A return to Kanto would also reflect the more mass-market appeal of Go, which has so far only featured the earlier and more recognisable Pokémon. Pokemon Quest will be free to start when it releases, so intrigued players have nothing to lose by trying it out. They're created to capitalize on the blockbuster success of the Pokemon Go smartphone game and a solid year of sales for the Switch tablet-hybrid gaming machine.
