When it comes to Fortnite, it's been a season of teases and leaks, with plenty of speculation thrown into the mix, especially in regards to the comet streaking through the sky.

The meteor has wiped out Dusty Depot which is now a giant hole in the ground, but it's not the only new location on the map.

The Season 4 Battle Pass is here sporting 100 tiers of awesome new rewards, including new cosmetic items, emotes and Sprays.

Following weeks of intrigue, the comet that has been on a collision course with the Fortnite Battle Royale map finally made landfall, destroying Dusty Depot and leaving a massive crater in its wake. But as well as the standard weekly challenges, there are a handful of brand new challenges unique to season 4. This includes the likes of a new Save the World questline, gravity-defying Hop Rocks and much more.

In the shooting game, players are dropped on an island where they fight to be the last one standing. Other more minor changes, including a newly fixed-size aiming reticle for the rocket launcher and hit markers displaying even when scoped in, also come into play with the new patch.

You can't rest when you're at the top, though.

Tilted Towers stands intact in Season 4.

The game also encourages players to visit the crater left behind, with a new low gravity ability open to players who consume the glowing rocks found at the crash site. Head to where the "E" in Lake is shown on the map, as seen in the image below, and you'll find the wrecked remains of a small boat just to the south of a small slab of land. The free-to-play video game has become such a cultural phenomenon right now that everyone from hardcore gamers to actual sports athletes and music performers is getting into the trend.

It's worth noting that to find any of these things you'll need to have the Season 4 Battle Pass.

With Season 4 underway for Fortnite: Battle Royale players have begun chasing down new challenges to complete their Battle Pass.

Structures on the starting island can now be destroyed.

Fortnite's original Save the World co-op mode also got a hefty update, adding a new story mission series called Blockbuster.
