Cannes 2018: Huma Qureshi Defines 'Metal Mania' In Red Carpet Debut

Huma was dressed to impress for her first Cannes outing in an ivory Varun Bahl Couture gown with sparkling embellishment around its plunging neckline.

Hair stylist and make-up artist Manjari Singh chose to accentuate her eyes with a heavy dose of kohl and handsome bronze eyeshadow and for the lips, she added a pop of colour with a berry red lipstick.

Farhadi, who opened the Cannes festival Tuesday night with his first Spanish-language film, Everybody Knows, used the last moments of his press conference, seated next to his stars, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, to send a message to officials back home in Iran. Huma wore her hair in a sleek, no-fuss bun paired with a bright pink lip and neutral eye shadows. We knew she would be a showstopper when she makes an entry at the second day of Cannes 2018. The actor shared pictures of her attending an after-party on Wednesday, for which she turned to another pale ensemble. She stepped on the red carpet wearing a attractive lilac gown that, to me, looks inspired by the Swan Lake.

Joining Cate on at the screening was Chloe Sevigny - who went pretty in a silk black dress.

Chastain a year ago served as a jury member in Cannes, and was critical of the female representation in the festival's main slate. Whether Huma Qureshi managed to impress the fashion police or not is hard to say but she sure was a fresh sight in her avant-garde wardrobe picks.
