Ahead of this launch, HMD Global has announced a second price cut for its Nokia 6 3GB RAM variant.

Answer: The Nokia 8 Sirocco runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

HMD also showcased Nokia 1, which was launched in the Indian market recently.

HMD Global is all set to launch its next-generation of Nokia smartphones in India today.

Question: Which Android version runs on the Nokia 8 Sirocco? Well, that's something only time will tell. The device was among the five devices including the legendary Nokia 8110 which were unveiled by HMD at the 2018 Mobile World Conference in February. Flagship phones from Xiaomi, OnePlus, Honor and Motorola which started off in this Rs 20-30k price band - are now pushing the Rs 30k barrier and edging upwards. The two-tone colour schemes add a touch of class to the device.

Nokia 9 will be fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, combined with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Powering the package is a 3000 mAh battery.

Inspired by the rich design heritage of Nokia phones, the Nokia 8 Sirocco's elegant design and compact style is the ideal blend of precise craftsmanship and purposeful innovation. Now, a Finnish site Suomimobiili has leaked out a complete specification sheet of Nokia 9 that lists all the expected features in the upcoming smartphone.

The device is also proof that Nokia is finally giving in to the 18:9 display rage.

To recall, the Nokia 6 (2017) received an Rs. 1500 price cut over a month ago, bringing the cost of the phone down to Rs. 13,499.

The device has been machined from a solid block of 6000 series aluminum, and at the back coated with six layers of paint to give it a ceramic premium feel.

You may have heard that Nokia 8 Sirocco comes with Dual-Sight Bothie mode. The smartphone comes in two variants mainly - 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB, which can be extended up to 128GB via SD Card. The rear-facing lens combines a 16MP ZEISS lens, coupled with an 8MP front-facing camera. The device will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC along with 4GB RAM.

Battery: The Nokia 8 Sirocco houses a 3,260mAh battery and is the only phone among the three to support Qi wireless charging. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 25,999 in the country.

Question: Can the internal storage in the Nokia 8 Sirocco be expanded?

I liked the design of last year's Nokia 6, but the one thing that let the device down was the underwhelming Snapdragon 430 chipset.

The device has curved glass finish and a stainless-steel frame and 2-mm thin at the edge.

Question: Is the Nokia 8 Sirocco water resistant?

Nokia 9 will have a 6.01-inch QHD AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The company also launched Nokia phones shop - an online shop for all its devices and accessories in the country.

For the camera optics, it features a Zeiss certified 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel dual camera setup on the back along with dual-tone LED flash.

But that's where the fun ends.

HMD Global, which sells Nokia brand of phones, said that with the comeback of the Nokia brand in the market, many consumers are coming back to the brand because of the quality and simplicity of the products. The Nokia 6 goes on sale in India starting April 6 on Flipkart as well as official Nokia store. The sides are lined with anodised aluminium, but they come with chamfers which look neat, but make the phone hard to hold.

Will the phones work for India?

And last but not the least, it is the backing of Google, with a clean and user-friendly take on Android through its deep partnership with Android One that ensures users are always up to date with the latest features and security updates which have become increasingly more important in this day and age.
