J&K: Decapitated body of abducted man found in Hajin

His body was found in an orchard in Bonmohalla Hajin, The Greater Kashmir reported.

Jammu and Kashmir, April 6: In a heinous act of crime in the valley, Lashkar-e-Taiba militants decapitated a 24-year-old shepherd and according to reports threw his body outside Hajin in North Kashmir's Bandipora district.

Later, police was immediately informed and the body was taken away by police for identification, sources said adding later the deceased was identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat.

Manzoor Ahmed Bhat was abducted along with his father Abdul Gaffar Bhat after militants stormed their house in Hajin area on the intervening night of April 4 and 5. Manzoor's father had sustained bullet injuries during the incident. The injured was rushed to local hospital from where he was later referred to Srinagar.

This is the second incident in the last three days when militants have unleashed mayhem In Hajin.

Meanwhile, the news has been circulated by the Kashmir Zone police on Twitter.

Manzoor was abducted by a group of militants affiliated with LeT on Wednesday before injuring his father. "Four to five foreign militants, along with a local militant Saleem, are behind both these killings", the SP said.

Security forces have launched a massive hunt to nab the militants responsible for the killing both the civilian killings.

So far, police have identified the militants as - Abu Muslim, Hubaib, Khalid, Abu Hamza and Haider.
