Fortnite Mobile is Now Available to the Public on iOS

Fortnite launched for iOS around three weeks ago, but access to the game was by personal invitation only to slow down the influx of players on the servers.

The good news is that the game is now available for everyone to download on their iOS devices. Now, anyone who had been waiting since ages to play the game on their iOS devices could do so. Just note that you'll need iOS 11, and at least an iPhone 6S to get in on the action. Having initially declared an invite-only event, the developer has declared that no invites will be required for the mobile version of the hit battle royale game.

At this point, Fortnite is available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and iOS. Epic likes to try out different modes instead of the usual solo, duo, and squad options with fun, different types to keep the game fresh.

While much of the focus recently has been on various skins coming to the game, Epic Games chose to change things up by adding a new item of sorts.

"Fortnite DOES NOT support: iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus; iPad Air, Mini 2, Mini 3, iPod Touch", the tweet adds. Basically, gamers on the mobile version can actually play against those on more powerful platforms. Any device older than that will have trouble running the fairly demanding game, even though it's already a significantly downgraded version. If vending machines are found scattered throughout the Fortnite map then players might find themselves harvesting materials more often and using the less popular materials (like metal and brick) to gain advantageous items. Maybe, the reason behind the game's popularity is the game's free-to-play business model.
