The situation with Albion's decision makers remains as it was before their latest Premier League defeat - a sixth in a row - that they do not think sacking Pardew right now would improve their chances of staying in the top flight.

West Bromwich Albion have eight matches left to save their Premier League hopes.

"But I will still talk to them and get a feeling of what they think because they might think a change is a better thing for the club, I don't know".

Although Pardew has no intention of resigning, he sounded as if he was nearly anticipating the sack in the wake of the 4-1 defeat at home against Leicester City on Saturday.

Boss Alan Pardew admits West Brom's owners may want to sack him as he seeks showdown talks but insists he will not quit.

WEST BROM won't pull the plug on under-fire manager Alan Pardew - yet.

He said after the game: "Before you even ask me the question, will I speak to those upstairs?" For me, it was important to come back in the second-half with more management in our game, more quality, more calm.

"But the one thing I'm not going to do is what I said on Thursday, is I'm not going to lay down tools".

Former West Brom defender Potter has worked wonders at Swedish side Ostersunds, who recently stunned Arsenal at the Emirates, and he's believed to now be keen on testing his managerial credentials on English soil this summer, having previously enjoyed spells with the likes of the Baggies, Stoke and Southampton as a player.

Foster told the Express & Star that Pardew should be praised for his preparation heading into games, but also admitted that recent result have been unacceptable.

"You have to fight". We were in the game and at half-time we thought we could get something out of it.

"We've got to go into every game trying to win it now".

Grzegorz Krychowiak, on loan from Paris St Germain, showed dissent to his manager after he was substituted on Saturday.
