WhatsApp Business App Launches With Messaging Statistics And Smart Tools

WhatsApp is the second biggest messanging app in the world - second only to Facebook Messenger, which had 1.2 billion users as of late April.

The WhatsApp Business app is initially only available on Android and to businesses in the US, UK, Mexico, Italy and Indonesia.

WhatsApp has launched a new WhatsApp Business app for small business owners to communicate with their customers.

Will save time with smart messaging tools - quick replies that provide fast answers to frequently asked questions, greeting messages that introduce customers to your business, and away messages that let them know you're busy.

A business account can also be setup using a landline phone number.

Customers don't need to download anything new, they can continue with their usual WhatsApp account.

According to the company's blog, the application will roll out for most countries in the coming weeks. From today, you can get the free-to-download app from Google Play.

WhatsApp Business app is packaged as the ideal communication tool for small businesses. These seem to be similar to regular WhatsApp profiles, only with additional fields that allow businesses to enter their addresses, website URLs, and descriptions. WhatsApp Business is available for free on the Google Play Store, and it can be downloaded in four countries for now: Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the U.S. In the chat, tap the menu button and select Report Spam or Block.

Using WhatsApp Business, you can create a dedicated business profile with your company's name.

It's completely separate to the standard version of WhatsApp, but it works in much the same manner - only its objective is connecting businesses and customers, rather than friends and family.

The business accounts will be clearly identifiable, so the consumers know that they are interacting with a business account. There's been no confirmation of whether or not an iOS version of the app is being produced.

After years of testing, WhatsApp has finally rolled out its standalone business app that aims to help small businesses connect easily with people.
