However, the officer quickly discovered the vehicle he was about to ticket wasn't a snow covered auto but instead a auto constructed out of snow.

According to WGCL Channel 46, Simon Laprise of Montreal chose to take advantage of more than 1 foot of snow Sunday by creating a sculpture of a DeLorean DMC-12 in the street in front of his house.

Laprise said on his Facebook page that the two police officers also paid him a visit the next morning - not to press charges, but just to figure out the mastermind behind the prank.

"You made our evening", the officer wrote in French on his ticket.

Laprise said it took him four hours to create the vehicle.

Montreal artist Simon Laprise spent four hours sculpting a false vehicle in a snow removal zone. Laprise said he did it as a joke for the regular snow-clearing patrols.

After a while, police showed up looking to tow the vehicle away.

COPS were left baffled by this "car" parked up in Montreal - and even issued it a ticket.

Five others have been molded in Laprise's car-sculpting past, and it the artist claims that this one won't be his last.
