Overwatch League skins are now available on Overwatch's live server.

Blizzard has no current plans to add Overwatch League skins to the game's loot boxes. This will open up another menu where you will be instantly awarded 100 League Tokens.

This new update for Overwatch does more than just add the new League skins to the game, however.

For those wondering, that's a new skin for all 26 Overwatch heroes for each of the 12 Overwatch League teams. Twitch will show every regular-season and postseason contest for OWL, which starts play tomorrow night, and develop reward programs and new virtual merchandise for viewers. These tokens are similar to other currency in the popular online FPS game, giving you access to a specific set of items that can only be bought with the league tokens. It would cost $99.99 to buy all of the skins for a single team.

Which is why today's announcement that the next two years of the Overwatch League (Seasons 1 and 2) will be exclusively broadcasted on Twitch is such a comfort to fans. You'll be able to get your hands on the Overwatch League skins on January 10, the same day that stage 1 of the League begins. If you want more information on the league including teams, how to watch it and more, check this complete guide here. This two-year deal, which encompasses the entirety of the league's first two seasons, makes that a reality.

For the first two seasons, Twitch will be the exclusive worldwide third-party provider for Overwatch League. "Given Overwatch's consistent reign as a top viewed game by our community, we look forward to offering their pioneering style of league play to a large and passionate fanbase that will be able to bond over not only their favorite plays, but hometown pride". Twelve teams, comprising of professional Overwatch players from all across the world, will compete for the first Overwatch League championship title, where finals will be held in July 2018. The venue was custom-renovated for Blizzard Entertainment esports events and is housing all matches while local franchises get their own venues prepped for eSports.
