Nintendo Announces New Mario Tennis Aces For Switch

It seemed like it was only a matter of time before Nintendo served up another "Mario Tennis" game for its flock - and the timing is just right, especially now that the #Nintendo Switch is shaping up to be the company's most successful console to date [VIDEO].

The new game, like its predecessors, stars Kirby - a pink puff who can absorb powers from his enemies - as he progresses through a breezy, lightly challenging fantasy world. He'll first appear in a new DLC for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle in spring.

Nintendo announced that both "Hyrule Warriors" and "Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze" will be heading to the Nintendo Switch this year.

During a Nintendo Direct Mini today, Nintendo revealed Mario Tennis Aces, which is coming to Switch in Spring 2018.

In the meantime, the game has a page up on Nintendo's website. He'll be swinging into the game this Spring via a new DLC pack. Then in 2000, Nintendo released a tried and true "MT" game for the N64 console aptly titled "Mario Tennis 64". And out of nowhere, Square Enix's Nintendo DS cult hit (released a solid decade ago) The World Ends With You is getting re-released on the Switch and will be available at some point in 2018.

As with any new entry in a Nintendo mainstay, especially one based on a sport, look for some cool new crossovers. PC players should note that Fe will be exclusive to Origin on the platform. Donkey Kong is coming into the game's world, and with his inclusion comes a fresh piece of story. As such, fans will be able to download "Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court" and "Darkest Dungeon: The Shieldbreaker" all in one ago and alongside the original release of the game title.

Payday 2 will release in Europe and Australia on February 23rd, and in North America and South America on February 27th.

We'll also see some new indies make their way to the Nintendo Switch.

Another platform for the Nintendo Switch sees you controlling Madeline as she takes on the unsafe Celeste Mountain.
