In a meeting with lawmakers last week on protection for immigrants, Trump had reportedly called developing world countries including Haiti and some African states "shithole" countries.

An artist with a video projector gave the Trump family's D.C. hotel a makeover using President Donald Trump's very own and very racist words. According an account given to the Washington Post, the projection remained displayed on the hotel for almost 40 minutes.

"The president distracts us from politics that are harming us", the projection read later in the video.

Multimedia artist Robin Bell, of Bell Visuals, projected the phrase, appearing with "poop" emojis and then live-streamed it on social media.

The news has prompted severe global outrage, as people posted outspoken comments on Twitter, posted breathtakingly lovely pictures of Haiti and the rest of Africa, or, conversely, "shithole" scenery of some American locations, aimed to illustrate that lousy places can be found all around the globe. An arrow, also apparently projected on the building, points to the arched doorway.

"Pay Trump bribes here" "emoluments welcome", and "we are all responsible to stand up and end white supremacy" were also projected onto the building.

The report said that after Trump was told that representatives of nations like Haiti and El Salvador were in attendance, he asked: "Why are we having all these people from sh*thole countries come here?"

Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.), the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, said in a statement that Trump's alleged remarks were another "confirmation of his racially insensitive and ignorant views".

They said: "There is no other word one can use but "racist".
