Acer has carved a niche for itself with its affordable but capable Chromebooks, and the new Chromebook 11 range updated at CES 2018 looks set to be no different.

It claims to offer 10 hours of battery life in a single charge.

Powered by the latest 7th-generation Intel Celeron chipsets, both the devices ship with USB Type-C ports, and share a similar design as well. The Chromebook R11 features fan-less design that makes it quiet and ideal to be used at shared spaces like a library or a coffee shop. To be precise, a touch supporting display bearing CB311-8HT model, and another non-touch version which carries the model number CB311-8. The Chromebook will include Bluetooth 4.2, as well as 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and an HDR video conferencing camera. It even uses USB Type-C for charging, so you can use the same cable as the rest of the laptops in the class. Plus, customers can use the MicroSD card reader to access and transfer content.

It comes with an 11.6-inch IPS display with 1,366×768-pixel resolution.

There are two versions of this new Chromebook 11, one with a touchscreen display and other without a touchscreen display.

The Acer Chromebook 11 sports a plastic build, and, the company says that it will be available in several models in North America in April with a starting price of $249 (around ₹15,800).

What do you think of this new Chromebook line from Acer? The Chromebook 11 will also be available in EMEA countries with a starting price of €249 (around ₹18,930) in March, however, exact specifications, price and date of availability will be announced later. The new Chromebook models can be of either 16GB or 32GB of storage with both models equipped with 4GB RAM.
