Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Release Engagement Photos To Say Thank You!

WINDSOR, UNITED KINGDOM - DECEMBER: In this handout photo provided by Kensington Palace, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pose for one of two official engagement photos at Frogmore House in December, 2017 in Windsor, United Kingdom.

The refreshingly warm photographs taken at Frogmore House, a private royal residence in the grounds of Windsor Castle, will be welcomed as a contrast to numerous more formal royal engagement portraits of the past, according to the Daily Mail.

The photos stand in stark contrast to the 2010 engagement shoot of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Markel is leaving her acting career behind to start a new life with Prince Harry. This dress was most certainly fit for a royal as Meghan wore none other than a risqué 2016 couture Ralph & Russo gown worth an estimated £56,000 (€63,200).

A black and white photo was also shared, which captures the couple's happiness perfectly.

Markle places her left hand on Harry's right hand, again showing her engagement ring, as they look at the photographer.

Additionally, the two couples went with different photographers.

The release of the pictures comes after Meghan spent the day with Harry and members of the royal family at Queen Elizabeth II's annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday. Perhaps it's fitting, as Markle is certainly not a cookie-cutter royal fiancee; she's American, mixed-race and divorced.

They will marry at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018, when Markle will move in with Harry at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.

A third shows the pair, who announced their engagement last month, smiling as they walk along Frogmore House's grounds.

In 2011, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took their own engagement photos prior to their big day, and they look an very bad lot like Harry and Meghan's photos.
