'Lie Hard': Rahul indulging in cheap barbs, says BJP

The CWC, which met on Friday evening under chairmanship of Mr Rahul Gandhi, also thanked Mrs Sonia Gandhi for providing her able guidance to the party all these years and leading the Congress party through challenging times and hard situations to safeguard and uphold the Congress ideology and commitment to an inclusive and constitutional democracy.

Former telecom minister A Raja, DMK MP Kanimozhi and all other accused were recently acquitted by a special court in the 2G spectrum scam case.

"I want to congratulate all workers for a well-fought election". "One of the successes that the Congress party can take credit for in Gujarat is the dismantling of the Modi model of development".

In Gujarat, the Congress has lost the election but the party has been boasting about the results as a symbolic victory for its cadre as it instilled a sense of confidence within the ranks. "Our party played a very positive role in keeping everybody together", he added. Later addressing the media, Congress communications incharge Randeep Surjewala said the CWC also discussed the current political situation and how the BJP "concocted the conspiracy" against the Congress in the 2G issue.

The Delhi Congress on Friday held a protest march towards Parliament House seeking an apology from the BJP to the nation for spreading "unfounded allegations" regarding 2G allocation on the basis of "gossips and rumours" as the court "could not find even an iota of evidence of corruption in the case". The truth is, however, out in the open that BJP made a profession out of its conspiracy of lies and falsehoods to gain power at any cost.

He further attacked former Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Vinod Rai for conspiring with the BJP, saying that "he created a fallacious web of corruption". His mother and predecessor Sonia Gandhi was also present at the meeting taking place here. "Now they should not blame us", he said. "All lies, the truth of the 2G is out there now", he told reporters after the meeting.
