During a Xenoblade-centric Nintendo Direct presentation this morning, Nintendo offered loads of details it has been hanging onto since the game's announcement. The first one was superb and I cannot wait for the sequel.

The Direct goes over a few inside baseball things like combat, towns, and trading, if you want to catch up.

The Direct also announced a Season Pass for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 called an Expansion Pass.

Nintendo came through today with a straight-up info dump for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, including a tease of DLC plans and a day-one update that adds in a Japanese audio option. While adventuring, these abilities might increase the number of items that can be collected, open up new paths to explore or initiate other special effects. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is available to pre-order today, and it'll be launching on December 1.

Nintendo Switch owners will get a special Xenoblade Chronicles 2 surprise in Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild this week. This DLC will even include an additional adventure with a new side story set in the world of Elysium. Firstly, bonus support items will follow the game's release in December this year, before a new quest arrives in January 2018.

And the good news for Nintendo Switch owners doesn't stop there. The same day, the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Edition Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will launch at a suggested retail price of $74.99. A followup in the form of Xenoblade Chronicles X released for the Wii U, which didn't receive quite as stellar reviews but nonetheless was still well-received.

Players can preorder all the DLC now by buying a $30 expansion pass. Game Informer has just published a huge interview with executive director Tetsuya Takahashi and have asked them that very question.
