Fantastic Beasts 2: TITLE revealed plus FIRST LOOK at young Dumbledore

The forthcoming film, titled Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, teases the legendary rivalry between friends-turned-foes, young Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) and Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).

Dumbledore fell in love with (the dark wizard) Grindelwald, and that added to his horror when Grindelwald showed himself to be what he was.

Behind the camera, two key roles remain intact, most notably Rowling penning the screenplay and David Yates in the director's chair, with the studio hyping 'some surprising nods to the Harry Potter stories that will delight fans of the books and film series'.

The cast also includes Ezra Miller, Katherine Waterston, Zoe Kravitz, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol as well as newcomers Claudia Kim and Callum Turner.

The sequel will also mark the return of future Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore, played by Jude Law in the 1920s-set prequel. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters one year from today. That doesn't mean that Grindelwald has attained invincibility, for we know he was in possession of the wand in 1945 when Dumbledore finally defeated him.

Whereas the first film saw the adventure take place in New York, Fantastic Beasts 2 starts in London before moving to Paris.

What in the wizarding world has Johnny Depp's Grindelwald been up to since that slightly awkward reveal at the tale end of Fantastic Beasts? So, the countdown to Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald begins now! Jude Law aka Albus Dumbledore makes his debut in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Now, he is gathering followers to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings or muggles. Warner Bros. also provided plot and character descriptions that flesh out what we're going to see, and also introduces the characters that are joining Newt's world. The sequel seems to be picking up where the first entry left off, teaming up Dumbledore with Newt Scamander to help stop Grindelwald.

"Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world", and that could mean some very hard decisions for Newt himself.
