Patna Express Accident:13 coaches of Vasco Da Gama-Patna express derailed on Friday morning at 4.18 a.m.

After the incident took place, the train movements were disrupted on the Patna Allahabad route. Piyush Goyal, India's Railway Minister has already announced ex-gratia compensation to the kin of the dead, to the tune of INR 5 lakh each. A medical train has arrived from Allahabad.

May 26, 2014: Twenty-two people lost their lives when the Gorakhdham Express came on the same track as a freight train and rammed into it near Khalilabad station in Sant Kabir Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh.
