Apple to launch three iPhone X-inspired models in 2018, report claims

It has certainly been smoother than rival Alphabet Inc's (NASDAQ:GOOG, NASDAQ:GOOGL) Pixel 2 XL.

By comparison, the current iPhone X has a 5.8-inch screen, the iPhone 8 Plus has a 5.5-inch display and the smaller iPhone 8 has a 4.7-inch screen.

The iPhone 8 is expected to see a 50-60% decline this quarter thanks to consumer preference for the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.

Demand for the iPhone X remains positive and Kuo estimates that production will rise somewhere around 35-45% in the next quarter compared to to the one previous.

The most recent round of complaints began popping up over the weekend.

The sounds may be the result of distortion since they are heard only at higher volumes.

According to one Twitter user, who first experienced the issue earlier this week, the green line is ever-present and does not go away even when the device is restarted. Although it doesn't actually "kill" the iPhone, the persistent line does ruin its appearance and interferes with some apps.

Just as winter weather hit the northeast, reports began surfacing that the iPhone X display becomes sluggish and then stops responding in cold weather.

So far Apple hasn't commented on the fault but some of those "in the know" claim that it is down to an electrical fault, causing the green sub-pixels in the phones' new diamond subpixel pattern to illuminate, according to TechCrunch.

Apple also has some guidance on using iOS devices in low or high conditions and recommends keeping it at an ambient temperature of between 0C and 35C. Kuo's predictions also seem to confirm what many have suspected: the death of Touch ID is coming in 2018-at least at the top of Apple's line.

However, I still want to balk at certain things, especially that huge 6.5-inch iPhone, which would easily be Apple's biggest iPhone yet, and noticeably larger than borderline unwieldy phones like the 6.3-inch Galaxy Note 8.
