And the WALKING DEAD/FEAR THE WALKING DEAD Crossover Character Is…

Though many didn't know who at the time we do know now as it was announced on Talking Dead tonight, The Walking Dead character Morgan Jones (Lennie James) will cross over to Fear the Walking Dead!

'Morgan's arc in The Walking Dead season eight positioned him for the story on Fear the Walking Dead.

James move to Fear the Walking Dead also confirms news that THR previously reported - that the prequel series is moving its filming location to Texas - a shift that was set up in the finale's narrative as a new villain (Ray McKinnon) set sail for "what's left of Houston" with Alicia (co-star Alycia Debnam-Carey).

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, "The Walking Dead" reigns as television's most watched drama for adults 18-49.

James said that he starts filming his scenes for Fear on Monday after concluding his filming for Walking Dead a few days ago.

It's kind of a surprise, because signs pointed to it being Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), a fan favorite who died on The Walking Dead in Season 7.

James noted, "The hardest part of it...has been leaving The Walking Dead". This is where Abraham's character lived when the zombie apocalypse happened. "Leaving that cast, leaving that crew".

James is already in Austin, Texas, where he revealed he'll begin shooting season 4 of Fear The Walking Dead November 27. That was done to give creative freedom to new showrunners Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss, who now take over for Dave Erickson (with The Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple overseeing both shows). Leaving that cast, leaving that crew... Fear could also choose to leap forward in time, playing catch up, so that its characters meet up with the Morgan we all just saw leave Rick's army after a fight with Jesus.

"Even though Morgan is going to be featured on Fear, he has a lot of story left on The Walking Dead", Gimple's statement read. "They're an unbelievable bunch of people and I'm going to miss them very, very, very much".
