When it comes to the design, the Mi MiX 2 packs in a revolutionary bezel-less design. The chin at the bottom is 12% thinner and the aspect ratio has gone from 17:9 to 18:9.

The device houses 12MP rear camera with dual flash and four-axis Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) to reduce jerks while shooting a video when the camera is in motion, and houses Sony IMX386 sensor. Being a concept phone, the Mi MIX wasn't sold in very many regions, but the Mi MIX 2 is soon to be available in the Indian market for ₹35,999.

For many years, wireless charging has been touted as a convenient solution to charging phones without using clunky cables, and for a forward-looking phone like the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 to not come equipped with the tech to support it is a bit of a bummer. The price in India of the Mi Mix 2 is Rs 35,999 which puts it in competition with phones like OnePlus 5, Honor 8 Pro, Nokia 8, Moto Z2 Play and others. It is for us to wait and watch what new milestone Xiaomi accomplishes in India with this new device.

Being a flagship phone, the Mix 2 offers top-notch hardware in the form of 2.45GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, Adreno 540 GPU.

Xiaomi will also be available from company's exclusive Mi Home and offline retail stores starting November first week. The display had a 92 per cent screen-to-body ratio and Xiaomi has removed a traditional speaker, proximity sensor, and shifted the front camera to the button. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 on the top. At the front is a 5-megapixel selfie camera, but since there are no bezels, it is fitted on the lower bezel just like the original Mi Mix. Yes, the Mi Mix 2 is aimed at stealing OnePlus' dominance in the sub Rs. 40,000 price point. The Mi MIX 2 comes with a hidden, sound-guided speaker which delivers sound from the top of the display. It features two 13-megapixel sensors - a standard lens with aperture f/1.7, and a wide-angle lens with aperture f/2.4. But, the company has introduced a pair of Mi noise-cancelling earphone with Mix 2 today, we will talk about them later in the post. The Mi Mix 2 comes with support for 43 LTE bands, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C and more.
