Although Sony is one of the companies that have not yet fully committed to Android Oreo, this announcement may be a good sign that the Xperia line of smartphones my embrace the new Android version in the new future. The Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact, which already run Oreo, should receive the fix by the end of November. With 3D Creator, you can scan any real-world object and render it as a 3D avatar, which it turns gives you a blueprint for 3D printing.

Besides the enhancements incorporated by Google, Sony has also included value-added features to smoothen the user-experience on Xperia XZ Premium. It can also be shared on social media or 3D print.

The Predictive Capture enables the camera to begin taking shots when it senses a smile even before the user hits the shutter button. The lucky handset in question is the Xperia XZ Premium, and it's set to be the first of many.

Then there is Predictive Capture (simile) which automatically clicks an image when it detects a simile, while in autofocus burst mode, it recognises, tracks and captures sequences of moving objects in sharp focus.

App Shortcuts - Re-imagined app shortcuts, which allow easy access to actions menus by long pressing the app icon. If you're not seeing the update just yet, just sit tight and wait for that OTA notification, which should be arriving soon.
