Nadal 'destroys' agitated Kyrgios to win China Open

In his post-match press conference after his loss to Rafael Nadal in the China Open final on Sunday, the Australian player made a remarkable statement.

"I can't play at 100 percent if that stuff happens - and then you expect me not to be angry", Kyrgios told Lahyani.

Top-ranked Nadal, who was tied with Roger Federer and Alexander Zverev at five titles this season, picked up his 75th career singles trophy with the win in Beijing.

Kyrgios has revealed his desire to build a facility for disadvantaged and underprivileged kids after he crumbled in the China Open final to fall 6-2, 6-1 in Beijing.

Kyrgios, ranked 19 in the world, has not always done his talent justice and a year ago was suspended for his conduct in a defeat to Zverev's older brother Mischa in Shanghai.

Nadal extended his winning streak to 12 after easing past Kyrgios 6-2, 6-1 in what turned out to be a one-sided summit clash in Beijing on Sunday.

Kyrgios was incensed in the opening game when a line call went against him on break point.

Nadal has one of the best defence in tennis right now, but he needs to be wary of Kyrgios' big-serving ability.

"She played awesome tennis", Halep said of Garcia. Garcia said afterwards, asked what was in her mind when she slumped to her knees.

She hit 17 winners and saved nine break points in the second set to move into the eighth and final qualifying spot for coming Singapore tournament.

In the second-set tiebreaker, the unseeded Garcia jumped out to 4-1, and on a first match point at 6-3 with Halep serving, the Romanian netted a forehand.

"In 2005, I never will believe that I will keep playing tennis in 2017", Nadal said.

Nadal 1-0 Dimitrov*: The roof is shut in China because it's pretty wet out there so the applause for Nadal's first victor echoes around the stadium.

In reaching his ninth final of the year, Kyrgios registered his third victory in four encounters with the 20-year-old German Zverev.
