Cooler temperatures on the way Sunday

High pressure settles in on Wednesday and that will mean lighter winds and colder temperatures. The resulting southeasterly breeze has kicked the dew point up into the sticky lower 60s. Slightly warmer weather is on tap for the start of the weekend before the next cold front arrives on Saturday night. Winds will be out of the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour. A cold front will be sweeping through the area early Monday, which will bring in cooler and drier air for the afternoon.

A weak cold front will lower temperatures along the Front Range on Monday. This forecast is still fairly uncertain for rain chances, but our temperatures are looking cooler with highs back to the lower 60s. It's much chillier Monday with lows in the 30s and highs staying in the 50s, under plenty of cloud cover limiting sunshine. Winds will be from the north at about 15 miles per hour. Highs will vary with low 70s for areas along I-55 to a few folks in West Alabama making it into the upper 70s and even low 80s. Winds: S 5-10 miles per hour. Sprinkle or shower overnight. Temperatures will reach 19 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday.

With cloudy to partly cloudy conditions expected for the rest of the week, humid conditions are also expected.
