One last possibility is that Fear the Walking Dead is set to come to a premature end, and Robert Kirkman has at least one character from that show he'd like to preserve by switching them over. So we're not going to see, say, Nick Clark become a permanent character on The Walking Dead or anything.

Also, if the show does what we're suggesting clearly The Walking Dead fans won't see their show impacted at all - this is just a way to get more fans of the original show watching the spin-off/companion/whatever you want to call it.

Footage of the opening scene from the premiere - and 100th episode - was shown to fans at New York Comic Con during The Walking Dead panel. "Things like Daryl not being available in the comic, Clementine only being available in the games, and I think if we cross-pollenate too much, it takes away from what makes Walking Dead special in all the different genres".

What did you think of Fear The Walking Dead episode 314 titled "This Land is Your Land"? At this time, all that is now known is that one character will cross over between the two shows.

On a more serious note, Kirkman added, "We're very excited about this; there's going to be more news on this in the coming months". Because these timelines, like. how does that work? "Hopefully there have been points where you go, 'Is this it?"

Following the blockbuster announcement that The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead will indeed be crossing over with each other, AMC has released a teaser hyping the event.

It's a good time to be a "Walking Dead" fan. That means it would be more likely that a character from "Fear the Walking Dead" could eventually show up on "The Walking Dead" but again that's all speculation at this point.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 22.

And if you're not anxious about the Clark kids, AMC's synopsis says that another character "fights for survival", which is always an encouraging phrase to hear.
