"They're always changing so there's really no difference I mean we all have to drive plus I use premium so I'm always stuck with the high price anyway", Rick James of Chicopee told 22News.

The lowest average price in Miami-Dade County was $2.29 at Sunoco on East 49th Street in Hialeah, while the highest was $3.35 at a Shell on Arthur Godfrey Road in Miami Beach.

In South Carolina, among the highest average price is $2.38/gallon in Augusta.

The price of gasoline is down in both Rhode Island and MA after its post-hurricane spike last month. All average retail prices in this report are for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline. Modesto- $2.86/g, up 2.0 cents per gallon from last week's $2.84/g.

AAA said gasoline stocks have continued to rise across the nation as weekly demand declined by 3.6 percent during the week ending October 13, according to the latest report from the Energy Information Administration. "Perhaps even more wild is that the national average has now remained under $3 per gallon for almost 3 years, or 1,087 days as the days of cheap oil have continued". While recent actions from OPEC may cause oil prices to hold above the $50 per barrel level, there is no threat of a quick return to the $3 per gallon days.
