11-year-old girl's adoption surprise caught on camera

An 11-year-old girl in Utah was caught on camera getting some great news.

Tannah spent the last two years wishing the judge would make her foster parents her forever parents. 'My heart was so happy, it was like, 'Ahhh!' It was screaming'.

CCTV from the office showed Tannah launching into Ms Alexander's arms after learning she was finally being adopted.

Alexander thought the moment was so attractive that she got Fisher's permission and shared the video on social media.

The office manager - whom Tannah considers a close friend - shared the security camera footage of the moment, and the story behind it, with her social media followers.

Miss Jackie told her that her adoption had been finalized.

CBS News affiliate KUTV-TV reports 11-year-old Tannah Butterfield says it's proof that dreams really can come true.

Alexander said, "I grabbed her shoulders and said, 'Have you heard the news baby?" Barely 15 percent of minors that enter the foster care system will ever be adopted, and more than 100,000 children are waiting to be taken in permanently by families, according to the latest available data from the Child Welfare Information Gateway. 'It might take a long time but just stick with it and it will be worth it.

"I was overjoyed and humbled", Alexander told 1010 WINS about being able to tell the family such incredible news. "She was just so anxious and didn't want her to wait any longer, so that's where I got to play a small part". "I can't even describe that hug", she said. "I just kissed her up one side and down the other side". "We didn't all know it was going to happen like that".

It is the attractive moment being shared around the world.
