Powerball prize now 10th largest after months without winner
Since POWERBALL launched in Florida in January 2009, the Florida Lottery has had the most winners in the nation with more than 74 million winning tickets totaling more than $2 billion in prizes, including 12 jackpot winners.
Overall, there were 1,878,417 winners in the drawing who won at least $4 each.
Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Due to this practice, some players will find slight variations when playing Powerball in different states.
theLotter.com is the world's premier lottery ticket messenger service - it enables people to order official lottery tickets from around the world and doesn't charge commission on wins.
Players should check every ticket, every time, and immediately sign winning tickets.
The jackpot now stands at $435 million, the eighth largest Powerball jackpot in the lottery's history.
Winning numbers are drawn from white balls between 1 and 69 and a Powerball numbered from 1 to 26.
The California ticket is worth $1,674,648. "There are nine ways to win on a ticket, so make sure to check carefully to see if you're a victor".
Jackpot prizes are paid in 30 annual installments or as a one-time, lump-sum payment. You do not need to have the same order as the numbers on the ticket, though the Powerball number is not interchangeable.
Odds are that'd happen long before they ever won the Powerball. The last victor got $60 million on April 1 in Arizona, lottery officials said. "Years ago, a $60 million jackpot was very exciting". The last Michigander to win the Powerball was Julie Leach in 2015. It continues to roll from $40 million each week until the jackpot is won again. Florida was one of three states nationally to have a victor in the world record-setting $1.58 billion POWERBALL jackpot in January 2016.
The player in North Carolina also played the Power Play option which increased their winnings to $2 million.
That is worth $273.1 million cash.
Are you going to play Powerball this Saturday?
