Caitlyn publicly came out as transgender in 2015 but admitted that her and Kris' daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner had discovered the truth previously, by setting up security cameras in their rooms.

"I downplayed it a lot because at that time I was trying to get back into life because I had hidden away in a house for six years - I have a tendency to do that, even today".

In the year after Caitlyn Jenner announced her new name and gender, the popularity of the name Caitlyn plummeted more than any other baby name, according to Social Security's annual list of the most popular monikers for newborns.

The transgender star confessed that Kim is heartbroken by the way her mother Kriss Jenner has been affected by the tell-all book.

She said she met the reality star around six months after backing out of her initial plans to change her sex.

At the height of its popularity, Caitlin, the name's most common spelling, ranked No. 44 in 1988.

Reports also indicate someone allegedly threw something at the 67-year-old star. Bosses at USA agency Social Security released their annual list of the most popular baby names from 2016, along with a list of the names that have fallen most drastically in popularity. She noted that "Even parents who are huge Donald Trump supporters are unlikely to name their child Donald", a name which dropped 45% in popularity previous year.

"Caitlyn was already falling in popularity", she told Time. "Now it is suddenly controversial", Wattenberg said.

"I understand that people are fascinated by that kind of stuff", Jenner continued.

She said: "The thing is, from a parent's standpoint, especially if a child is identifying as trans at a very young age, just love your child".

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: 'Officers attended and spoke to one of the organisers who alleged that a photographer had verbally abused a woman and a man as they were leaving the event.
